On the nightly news today it was reported that another state now has made it legal to refuse to sell or provide a service to people who are offensive to the business.

To me this indiscriminate discrimination. It is disheartening to understand how people can be offended so much by another person because of homosexuality , their clothing and whatever else is so unacceptable.

What happens when the tables are turned and people are refused services or products based on a religious belief?

Has history not taught us enough to realize that history repeats itself?

My beliefs is that  we are to love everyone. Jesus said we are to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us.

Our lives would be more at peace if we followed what Jesus said.

Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be satisfied.

Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the son of Man.

Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.

But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.

Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry.

Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.

Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated false prophets.

But to you who are listening I say : Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreats you.

So are we to continue to make laws that exclude others and not love one another.

If this is what is the norm then truly I am not home yet.

Peace Be With You.
